Alexander Schwarzkopf
Alexander J. Schwarzkopf is an accomplished pianist, composer, and educator. A finalist at the Silvio Bengalli International Piano Competition in Italy, he has served on the piano faculty at the University of New Mexico and as faculty at music festivals in Germany. His notable compositions include PSi: A Concerto for Piano and Six Instruments, and he has performed widely, including at the Oregon Bach Festival and the Makrokosmos Project Festival. Alexander's recordings, such as Falko Steinbach’s Figures: 17 Choreographic Etudes, are available on Centaur Records. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and currently teaches in Eugene, Oregon.
