Clare Longendyke
Clare Longendyke is a dynamic pianist, chamber musician, and passionate advocate for new music, celebrated for her daring repertoire and compelling storytelling on stage. Her debut album, …of dreams unveiled, soared to #2 on the Billboard Traditional Classical chart and was praised as “delightfully daring” and “not to be missed.”
A champion of contemporary composers, Clare has commissioned over 30 new works and premiered more than 250 pieces worldwide. This season, she performs with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, Danville Symphony (IL), and Symphony New Hampshire, continuing her tradition of imaginative programming and charismatic stage presence.
Her artistry bridges tradition and transformation, breathing new life into the concert experience with every performance. Clare holds degrees from Boston University’s College of Fine Arts (BM) and Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music (MM, DM). She currently lives in the Indianapolis area with her husband Stephen, their son Henry, and a lively crew of pets too numerous to list in a single bio.
