Lecture #3, Course Description:
Under the Bridge
Matching the Rib Scale to the Downbearing
with Ken Eschete & Dale Erwin
Boaz Kirschenbaum
Down bearing and the rib scale are essential but challenging topics every technician should grasp.

Understand these essential concepts in this 2 hour lecture, even if you outsource belly work, never consider belly work, or are strictly a tuner.
Goals—At the end of this masterclass, you will be able to:
  •  Understand the balance between forces exerted by strings and resistance to that force by the soundboard.
  •   Measure downbearing on a strung piano
  •   Set downbearing on an unstrung piano.
  •  Analyze an existing rib scale.
  •  Alter the rib scale.
  •  Understand methods for making ribs.

“As I have gotten to know Dale, I have learned that what he says – is what he does – period.

I have enjoyed watching his knowledge grow from his instruments in the 1990’s to the masterpieces he produces today. I look forward to spending more time with him as Dale is the type of expert that I would like to surround myself with professionally.

Keep up the good work, Dale!”
--Richard Galassini,
Co-Owner, Cunningham Piano Company
“Ken Eschete knows pianos like no one else I know. He understands the instrument from an acoustical physics point of view: the many sophisticated pieces of action, the wood, cast iron, tension of the strings, quality and optimal dimensions of the soundboard and how all the above interact to make glorious sound. A musician himself, he knows the questions to ask a pianist regarding desired quality of touch and response, or the brilliance and warmth of sound needed..."

Unlike Any Existing Content Or Live Lecture
1. Enjoy a suite of resources. This lecture is not meant to replace any existing content, recording or conference presentation. A true craftsperson will seek education in multiple formats wherever they can. This is a completely unique, all-new way of learning with special features added to make it an undeniable value.

2. Avoid the frustration of sitting at the back of the room or crowding to the front as is typical in conference presentations, especially the good ones. Every participant and viewer has the exact same, up-close, loud-and-clear access to this engaging lecture.

3. Make valuable new professional connections and friends throughout the world. When you participate in this lecture and join the group of technicians who will treasure the recording you'll begin to build relationships with and recognize a whole new set of techs worldwide that are friendly, helpful and serious about learning. Although it's not the same as grabbing lunch at the convention, the barriers of space and time are broken down and professional relationships become a whole new experience.

4. The value is clear. If you are attending a national convention you might end up spending hundreds per class, even if you can fit in 15 or more lectures. Because, when you do the math, you can spend as much as $3,000 on travel, lodging, registration, rental cars, etc. And you're likely to miss out on several hundreds or thousands of dollars in missed work opportunities too.

Do not attempt a comparison. This experience is a world apart from what you'll find at a convention or in a book or traditional recording.
What previous live lecture participants are saying:

For each previous lecture we've conducted a thorough surveys afterwards. Here's what we learned when we asked "How much could this knowledge increase your income in the next 12 months?"
A full 91.7% of participants surveyed predict earning extra income because of our content!

Some foresee a returns of$10,000 or more.

Apply your knowledge and pay for it outright.

Double, triple, 10X or 100X your investment!

You decide.
